As part of the celebrations to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Gylemuir Primary School, we are holding an OPEN DAY tomorrow, Friday 1st June, between 10am and 3pm.
We’re really looking forward to seeing former staff, parents and pupils drop in during the day to share their memories of the school, or to see if they can spot themselves in some of the many old photos we have adorning the walls!
Our specially created Gylemuir Museum & Art Gallery will be open, offering a chance to look at Gylemuir through the decades and the children have been very creative, decorating stars to reflect major events of the past 50 years.
There will be refreshments available, with all the entries from our 50th Anniversary Birthday Cake Baking Competition sliced and offered to visitors.
If you’d like to bake a cake for the competition you still have time, it just needs to be handed in to the office by 9am tomorrow (Friday 1st).
You can bake a cake of any shape, size or design (but please DO NOT use any nut products) and the winner will receive a voucher for afternoon tea for two at Bon Tearoom. Happy baking!
