On Friday 14th December, the school is taking part in Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day – so if you have a jersey which is so tinselly that it’d put Rudolph off his carrots, be sure to wear it!
If you would like to wear a Christmas jumper to school on the 14th – or even a Santa hat or reindeer antlers – please bring in a donation of £1 which will help Save the Children’s work around the world.
The School Christmas Postal Service opens for business on Monday 10th December, with Primary 3 and Primary 4 pupils acting as our posties this year.
Please make sure that all envelopes are addressed with the recipient’s name and the name of their class.
It’s been an action packed week for all of our Primary 7s, whether they have been at Benmore or in Edinburgh. The pupils who have been at school have been busy with all sorts of activities. We have:
- Had a trip to Fountain Park to play 10-pin bowling – strike!
- Had a cooking session, making pizzas (we made our dough from scratch), sausage rolls and finger rolls – yum!
- Spent time in the garden, tidying up and planting – dig!
- Announced the winners of our Children in Need competitions and delivered the prizes to the winners – congrats!
We hope you enjoy looking at some of the pictures of our bowling trip!
As you walk around Gylemuir you might just spot some weird and wonderful creatures – our Worry Monsters!
All our pupils designed and made their own monsters, and when they have a worry they can write it down and feed it into their monster’s mouth.
A large group of our Primary Sevens head to Benmore Outdoor Centre on Monday for school camp. They will be writing a blog while they are away so you’ll be able to keep up with their camp adventures throughout the week.
