Welcome to Primary 7
Our teachers are Mr. Mark Christie, Mrs. Julie Lamb and Miss Kirsty MacConnachie.
P7 rarely have a chance to kick back and rest on their laurels and the past few months have been no different! After a very busy Christmas – which saw us working very hard on concerts, carol singing in the community and our enterprise project – we came back in January raring to go. Since then we have been investigating The Jacobites, finding out about the circumstances which led to the various Jacobite Uprisings and about the figures who were important – including Prince Charles Edward Stuart, better known as Bonnie Prince Charlie.
We have also been looking at Music in Film and discovering how it can set or change the mood of a scene. We’re filming some scenes which we’ve written and storyboarded oursleves, and are then going to compose some music to accompany the scenes. Move over, John Williams!
Primary Seven are back from school camp and have just about thawed out and dried off after an exhilarating week! As always, the children had a great time at Benmore…as the pictures show!
Meanwhile, the P7 pupils who didn’t make the trip to Benmore had an dizzying adventure of their own at the climbing centre at Ratho. Dastardly drops proved no obstacle for our intrepid pupils as they scaled the heights at the biggest indoor climbing centre in the world!
